PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – July 20, 2021): The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has said water flow is normal in all rivers in Khyber Pakhtunkwa and is constantly monitoring the rainfall situation monsoon.
Khyber Pakhtunkwa PMDA Director General Sharif Hussain personally monitored river flow on Sunday using the rangefinder system installed at the PDMA office.
He said PDMA offices across the province would remain open during the Eid holidays to make life easier for citizens and deal with any emergency due to the rains.
In view of the monsoon rains, the Peshawar District Administration, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Rescue 1122, the Irrigation Department and the relevant Town Municipal Administration (TMA) conducted joint exercises in addition to establishing a control room in the office of the Deputy Commissioner (DC), Peshawar.
In this regard, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Relief, Mohammad Imran Khan, Assistant Commissioner (AC), Dr Ihtesham-ul-Haq, Hajra Saleem from PDMA, Owais Afridi from Rescue 1122, Deputy Engineer Iftikhar Khan and officers from other relevant departments visited the Kabul River and examined the flow of water at various points.
